What sad times are these

when even little 8 pound Baby Jesus isn't safe in his manger. Gosh!

I seem to remember from Crim class that using technology to figure out if something is in someone's house and then getting a search warrant based on that violates the 4th amendment.

Not the point of the article, I know, but that's where my brain went...

perhaps we should say "nee" to them....

bridgete, come on now! since when do little things like our constitutional rights get in the way of what the government wants to do?

Hmmm...not sure I agree with the person who stated that to steal a baby Jesus is a prank but to steal a menorah is a direct religious target. Personally I feel that anything stolen from any religious display is just wrong on so many levels.

The GPS unit is a wonderful idea to hopefully avoid this situation in future holiday seasons. Although I don't know much about the law aspect if Bridgete's point is correct then hopefully it will at least act as a deterrant to anyone who might have thought about doing it, knowing they could easily be caught now.

I will say NEE with you Ginger!
